AG Wilson Voted Civil Engineering Company of the Year 2022

AG Wilson has been recognised at the recent annual Plant & Civil Engineer Awards for its work on a series of high profile projects.

We were presented with the prestigious Civil Engineering Company of the Year award, sponsored by MFL Plant Machinery, during a glittering ceremony, compered by television and radio sports presenter Adrian Logan, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in South Belfast.

Organised by the Hillsborough based publishers of Plant & Civil Engineer, 4SM (NI) Ltd, it was attended by hundreds of guests and leading figures from the plant, construction and quarry industries. With 17 separate categories, the event, making a welcome return after a two year absence because of the Covid-19 pandemic, is widely regarded as Ireland’s premier platform of recognition for those operating across all sectors of the industry.

Just some of the civil engineering projects successfully completed or started over the past year included a £2.1 m flood alleviation scheme in Newry, covering four separate locations, the repair and reconstruction of damaged elements of the Fisherman’s Quay at Carrickfergus in County Antrim and a water infrastructure project in Oban Scotland which involved a delicate operation to tunnel beneath an important railway line.
