AG Wilson Delivers Safety Talk at Waringstown Primary School
In a delightful blend of education and fun, AG Wilson civil engineering visited Waringstown Primary School today to deliver an engaging safety talk. The event aimed to teach young P1 students the importance of safety in construction sites and everyday life.
The highlight of the visit was the presence of the company’s Safety Mascot, “BeSafe Bert,” who instantly became a hit among the children. BeSafe Bert, as always, helped make the learning experience both memorable and enjoyable.
AG Wilson’s safety team used fun interactive games to convey important safety messages, ensuring the children remained engaged and absorbed the information being shared. During the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) dress-up activity, 2 lucky students got the chance to wear safety gear such as helmets, LEPs, ear defenders and hi-vis vests, just like real engineers!
Adding to the excitement, the children had the unique opportunity to see our ‘Giant’ loading shovel, a construction plant item brought to the school for the occasion. The machine gave them a real world glimpse into the tools used in civil engineering projects.
Each pupil was thrilled to receive an activity pack, a reusable water bottle, and a hi-vis vest, gifts that both excited the children and reinforced the day's safety lessons. The activity packs were filled with fun puzzles, colouring sheets, and safety tips, allowing the children to continue learning at home.
AG Wilson wish to extend a special thanks to the school principal Mr McCambley and the dedicated staff of Waringstown Primary School for their warm reception and kind hospitality. Their support and enthusiasm played a crucial role in making the event a resounding success.
As part of our responsible business journey, AG Wilson plans to continue its outreach programs, aiming to foster a culture of safety and community awareness from a young age.
